Chisago Lakes at Orono
3:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28

Chisago Lakes had endured nine losing seasons before finishing last year with a 20-9 overall record. The Wildcats just missed the Class 3A state tournament, losing to Hermantown 50-48 in the Section 7 title championship.

Chisago Lakes didn't get off to a good start this year, falling to North St. Paul 76-60 in the season opener. The Wildcats' schedule doesn't lighten this week with a matchup against an Orono team that recorded a 70-55 win over Monticello and a 64-51 victory over No. 2-3A Marshall to kick off its year.

Balanced scoring was Chisago Lake's strength last season with five players averaging at least 9.0 ppg, and three are back as seniors Dylan Wood (10.5 ppg), Ethan Hickcox (9.6 ppg) and Carter Duncan (9.1 ppg) look to carry the scoring load.

The Spartans have already shown a balanced scoring attack with five players averaging double figures through two games. Sophomore guard Thomas Lecy has led the way with 27 total points.
