White Bear Lake at Mahtomedi

Two teams looking to reload their rosters meet as White Bear Lake travels to Mahtomedi. The Bears graduated their top three scorers while the Zephyrs lost their top four.

Mahtomedi reached last year's Class 4A, Section 4 championship game, where it fell to Roseville 63-52. The top returning scorer is Lucas Buller, who averaged 7.4 ppg for coach Keith Newman's Zephyrs. 

White Bear Lake picked up a 52-48 win over Mahtomedi in last season's opener, but the Zephyrs avenged that loss and ended the Bears' season with a 54-43 victory in the opening round of the section playoffs.
