Roseville at Cretin-Derham Hall
7:15 p.m., Friday, Feb. 20

The Suburban East Conference crown is seemingly set to be determined in the regular-season finale between Roseville and Cretin-Derham Hall.

No. 6-4A Cretin-Derham Hall (21-3, 13-1) enters the week holding a one-game lead over No. 7-4A Roseville (20-4, 12-2) in the standings, and both teams have a conference game before their meeting on Feb. 20.

A Cretin-Derham Hall loss in its matchup with No. 8-4A East Ridge on Feb. 17, coupled with a Roseville victory over Woodbury on the same night, would make the regular-season finale a tussle for the title.

Roseville would be playing for a share of the championship should it and Cretin-Derham Hall win their games leading into their matchup.

Roseville and Cretin-Derham Hall have been building momentum over the final half of the regular season.

Roseville entered the week on a nine-game winning streak that includes an 89-49 dismantling of No. 8-4A East Ridge on Feb. 10.

Cretin-Derham Hall recorded another impressive victory with 77-65 win at No. 1-3A DeLaSalle on Feb. 14, extending its winning streak to 13 games.

Cretin-Derham Hall's long run also includes a 68-60 victory at Roseville on Jan. 16, in which it limited two of Roseville's top scorers -- senior guards Kobe Critchley (17.6 ppg) and Mitch Poss (15 ppg) -- to a combined 12 points. The defense, however, allowed senior forward Jesper Horsted (15.3 ppg) to finish with 27 points.

Guard Joe Rosga scored 23 points, while guard Donnell Gresham added 15 and forward Sam Neumann had 12 for Cretin-Derham Hall in the victory. Neumann (19.9 ppg), Rosga (19.9 ppg) and Gresham (12.5 ppg) are the team's senior nucleus and its leading scorers.
