Reigning state Class 4A champion Lakeville North appears to be back on track after a bumpy start, and the timing couldn't be better as the Panthers have a rematch looming with Eden Prairie on Dec. 20.

The Eagles won last season's game 79-78.

Lakeville North (4-2) posted a pair of road losses (Wayzata and Chaska) in the second week of the season, but responded with wins over Bloomington Jefferson, Lakeville South and Minneapolis North last week.

No. 7-4 Eden Prairie hasn't gone off the rails and has a six-game winning streak that includes a 71-65 victory over Stillwater on Dec. 13.

Senior guard Grantham Gillard leads the Eagles, averaging 20.2 points per game.

The Panthers counter with senior forward Connor Flack (16.2 ppg) and junior guard Carter Brooks (11.6 ppg).
