Minneapolis North at Minneapolis Roosevelt
7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 18

Minneapolis North just had its hot start cooled as the No. 1-1A Polars had their seven-game winning streak halted with a 83-76 loss to reigning Class 4A state champion Lakeville North.

Minneapolis North will attempt to start a new winning streak when the Polars travel to Minneapolis Roosevelt for a Minneapolis City Conference game on Dec. 18.

No. 8-2A Roosevelt enters the week on a four-game winning streak and the Teddies hope to slow a Polars team averaging 72.8 points per game and boasting a balanced scoring attack. Minneapolis North has four players averaging double figures in points, led by junior guard Tyler Johnson's 19.1 points per game. Isaac Johnson (17.0 ppg), Jamire Jackson (11.2 ppg) and Odell Wilson IV (10.1 pgg) can also put the ball in the hoop for coach Larry McKenzie's Polars.

Roosevelt coach Robert Mestas counters with his senior backcourt of Arione Farrar Jr. (19.9 ppg) and London Cobbs (14.6 ppg).
