Annandale at St. Cloud Cathedral

Annandale put together quite a run last season, posting a 25-7 record and finishing in second place at the state Class 2A tournament. The No. 6-ranked Cardinals get an early season test when they head to St. Cloud Cathedral for a game against the No. 3-2A ranked Crusaders. 

Cathedral topped Annandale 75-69 last November but couldn't win in a second matchup with the Cardinals four months later as the Crusaders lost 63-61 in the Section 5 playoffs. 

Chase Knickerbocker leads Annandale this season after averaging 17.2 points per game in the regular season as a junior. The forward scored 22 points in a 79-40 win over Mayer Lutheran in the season opener Nov. 21.

Senior guards Brindley Theisen and Mike O'Hagen are Cathedral's top returners. Theisen averaged 18.7 points per game in the regular season, while O'Hagen averaged 9.7.
