No. 9 Minnetonka at No. 5 Eden Prairie
7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3

Coach Tom Dasovich and Minnetonka has enjoyed the new year, winning six of their last seven games with a high-powered offense. Only a 95-82 loss to Hopkins last Tuesday marred that stretch of excellence. Dasovich has a deep lineup of scorers, as five different Skippers average in double-figures: senior shooting guard Delshon Strickland (15.2 ppg), 3-point gunners Seth Coatta (14.1 ppg) and Justin Moes (11.1 ppg), rugged Careino Gurley (10.4 ppg) and smooth sophomore point guard Amar Miller (10.1 ppg). Add in 6-foot-7 Evan Altenburg (7.8 ppg) in the paint and the Skippers are solid all around. Both teams have been buoyed by transfers. Strickland and Miller played at Holy Angels and MetroTech, respectively, last year, while Eden Prairie welcomed leading scorer Grantham Gillard (20.6 ppg) from Maranatha Christian Academy.
