No. 1-2A St. Cloud Cathedral at No. 10 St. Cloud Tech
5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8

It’s always a war when the St. Cloud area schools get together, but the competition should be amped up further with both Cathedral and Tech coming into the game ranked in the state’s top 10. The Crusaders are ranked No. 1 in Class 2A with an explosive back court that features a trio of double-digit scorers: senior Brady Schmit (19.6 ppg) and juniors Brindley Theisen (19.4 ppg) and Mike O’Hagan (13.0 ppg). Theisen is a natural three-sport athlete who already has surpassed 1,000 career points, something Schmit did earlier in the year. They’re the fifth and sixth to hit that milestone in school history. Tech just climbed into the Class 4A top 10 for the first time this year and has won 13 straight games. Tall sharp-shooter Andy Foley (20.4 ppg) leads four Tigers in double-figure scoring.
